One of the main objectives of OLIVE ISTANBUL IOOC is to organize an international quality competition for extra virgin olive oils. This competition was created for the best olive oils in the world to compete in order to attract the attention of consumers and to motivate producers by raising the bar of quality even higher in the sector. More than 60 representatives of committees from 17 countries, experts in olive oil, take part in this competition each year. The oils produced after a year of work are rated by juries of Experts in Sensory Analysis, prepared within the framework of the competition rules.
In addition, a “Competition Catalog” is created including the extra virgin olive oils awarded in the competition. The catalog in question, which is prepared within the framework of social responsibility, is sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the National Olive Council, the executive unions and the Turkish Export Council.
This competition embraces all people who put their hearts and efforts into olive and olive oil with love and help them walk towards many more successes.
