One of the main objectives of OLIVE ISTANBUL IOOC is to organize an international competition for the quality of extra virgin olive oils. This competition was created for the best olive oils in the world to compete in order to attract consumer attention and motivate producers by raising the quality bar even higher in the sector. More than 60 representatives from committees of 17 countries, experts in olive oil, participate in this competition every year. The oils produced after a year of work are evaluated by panels of Sensory Analysis Experts, prepared within the framework of the competition regulations.

Furthermore, a 'Competition Catalog' is created containing the award-winning extra virgin olive oils from the competition. This catalog, which is prepared as part of social responsibility, is sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the National Olive Council, executive unions, and the Turkish Exporters Assembly.

This competition embraces all those who put their heart and effort into olives and olive oil with love and helps them move towards many more successes.
