The treatment of margine
Le traitement de la margine est une étape importante dans la production d’huile d’olive qui nécessite une attention particulière pour préserver l’environnement. Nous pratiquons l’épandage, qui consiste à épandre la margine (engrais naturel) sur les champs pour fertiliser le sol. Cette méthode est plus écologique et doit être choisie avec soin pour minimiser l’impact sur l’environnement et maximiser l’utilisation durable des ressources.

AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES USED
IN THE OLIVE OIL PRODUCTION
Our olive oil production is carried out in an ecological way using sustainable agricultural practices that conserve water, soil and biodiversity. This has contributed to the protection of the environment while producing high quality olive oil.
Agroforestry
This agricultural practice involves cultivating fruit trees or crops under larger trees. It promotes biodiversity in olive orchards. The trees also provide shade for the underlying crops, which has allowed us to reduce water consumption.
Composting

 The adoption of this technique has allowed us to transform organic waste into natural fertilizer for the olive trees. It has also helped us improve soil structure and increase its water retention capacity, thereby reducing levels of contamination of groundwater and surface water, which has contributed to optimizing the overall health of the agricultural ecosystem.

Crop rotation
We have opted for this agricultural practice to rotate crops on a plot of land each year. This has allowed us to avoid soil nutrient depletion and reduce the spread of diseases and pests.
Biological control

This technique involves using insects, bacteria, and fungi to control crop pests and diseases. This method has eliminated the use of pesticides and helped preserve soil biodiversity.
